Predator fishing is a huge sport in Spain, especially Extremadura. There are no less than 8 of our local lakes that hold a large head of Predatory fish including the Comizo Barbel.

Fishing for Predators here has got to be the most exciting fishing about. All methods produce fish, from Vertical jigging to surface popping and vary throughout the seasons. We also fish certain methods to target specific species, however you don't know what the next take could result in, a Comizo Barbel, Carp, Pike amongst others, we have even had Tench take our lures!!!

Extrema fishing Spain gives you the opportunity to fish these prolific venues from either a 5 meter Skiff or Float Tube, otherwise known as a Belly Boat.

THE PREDATORS:

BARBEL There are 5 strains of Barbel here, including the legendary Comizo Barbel what grow to over 20kg, all of which are Predators, fantastic fishing from the Float tube..

BLACK BASS fishing is huge in America and other countries where they inhabit; No Wonder, it's exciting and full of action. Whilst fishing for them, tight up to snags, sunken trees, bushes and the like, the anticipation of a take as soon as your bait hits the water is exciting enough, but the fight they give is something else. They will jump, somersault, dive under the boat and at times even tail walk... its great sport on light tackle and what's more, they go to double figures here !!!!!!

PIKE have been caught to a staggering 30kg in the local area. Some lakes are stuffed with them, like the Orellana, with lots of sport fish. Two guests have taken over 100 Pike in 3 days from Float Tube. Other lakes contain a better stamp of fish however they can be a little harder to locate.

CHANNEL CATS go to well over 15kg and give a good account for themselves. Several of our local lakes contain these scavengers and our guests have landed Cats to over 12kg.

CARP, yes Carp, again a predator fish and these go to over 80lb here and have been regularly caught by Predator anglers. One guest landed 2 carp on a cold day in January on lure from a float tube and guide Craig has landed a common around 35lb.

Predator angling is available all year round, please note that August can get quite hot and uncomfortable.

Throughout the duration of your visit you will be taken to different areas of several lakes depending on target species, weather conditions etc.

We provide everything that is required including a varied selection of quality Shimano and Savage spinning or casting rods. Reels also are available if required, again Shimano Caius and Okuma spinning reels.

Our packages include a limited a selection of lures, however please feel free to bring any of you own tackle or equipment. Lowrance hdi fish finders and waders are available to rent at 5 Euros per day.

If you are an angler, be it match, course, carp, predator or whatever, you will appreciate fishing from a tube. This style of fishing is exciting and full of action, however you are still able to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of being out on the lake.

For those anglers that have never fished from a float tube - belly boat, check it out, you will love it.

Whats included:

Boat fishing is available in two options, a Guide will drive you in our 40hp 5m Sundance Skiff or drive yourself at your own leasure in a 3.8m 15hp Cabri. 

The Skiff is 5m, it is powered by a 40hp Mercury motor which enables us to get around these huge lakes with ease. It has a 54lb bow mounted trolling motor for manovering whilst fishing, 2 modern Lowrance Hdi Fishfinders with scan imaging that show fish and features clearly and in high definition.

15hp 3.8m Cabri. There is no licence required to drive the Cabri, they are fully equiped with electric trolling motors and fish finders. We will transport you to and from the various lakes in the area and launch you. .

Both types are fully insured and have legal permissions for the lakes, life jackets are provided.!!!

Accommodation is also included in the price, it is in a typical Spanish 'Casa Rural'.
All rooms have TV, heating / air-con, free wifi, there is an open fire livingroom and even a terrace BBQ area. A continental buffet breakfast is also included in the package price.
